Foundation 1976

ANSE Member since 1997 (founding partner)

BSO is a well-established leading association in Switzerland for professionals in coaching, supervision, and organisational consultancy with a strong focus on setting educational standards, developing professional and ethical guidelines, and providing processes and services for life-long learning and quality assurance for its members.

The general purpose of the association is to strengthen the professionalism of coaching, supervision, and organisational consultancy and to build bridges between professionals, educational as well as political institutions, and the consultancy market.

1976    Founded as “Berufsverband für Supervisoren / Praxisberater BSP”

1977    39 Members

1995    Renamed “Berufsverband für Supervision und Organisationsberatung BSO”

1997    Founding partner of ANSE

1998    Separation of “Presidency” and “Management” with head office in Bern

2004    Integration of “Coaching” as a professional consultancy format

2021    Outsourcing of head office to a consulting firm specialized in the management of not-for-profit organizations

2022    ≈1150 Individual Members

            17 Educational Institutes as Collective Members; educational partners that account
for 19 accredited education programs in coaching, supervision, and organizational
consultancy
