European Day of Supervision and Coaching

Every year on November 21 we celebrate European Day of Supervision and Coaching. All over Europe, our members organise events to promote supervision and coaching.

This year, two days before the European Day of Supervision and Coaching, ANSE is organizing a high-level conference at the European Parliament in Brussels on Wednesday , November 19, 2025.

The event has the title:

Developing Skills Across Europe in an Ever-Changing Environment
Reflective Practices, Supervision and Coaching as Pillars of Lifelong Learning

This event will bring together Members of the European Parliament, EU officials, and leaders of professional networks to exchange views on how lifelong learning, reflective practices (supervision and coaching) and competence validation can strengthen Europe’s response to today’s educational, social and labour market challenges.

  • 10:00 – Welcome address by Miriam Ullrich, ANSE President (Germany)
  • 10:10 – Keynote “Lifelong Learning in Europe: A Strategic Priority” by Prof. Andries de Grip, Professor of Economics at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA), School of  Business and Economics (SBE), Maastricht University (Netherlands)
  • 10:45 – Roundtable Lifelong learning and reflective practices in Europe: needs, competences and applications, with:
    • Elisa Gambardella (President of the Life Long Learning Platform, Italy)
    • Sandra Postel (President of Chamber of Nursing, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany)
    • Michaela Judy (Co-author of the ECVision Competence reference manual for Supervision and Coaching, Austria)
    • Inga Sadurska (Professional Supervisor, Latvia)
  • 11:30 – Open exchanges
  • 11:50 – Informal networking and meetings
